Dr. Sue Johnson is an author, clinical psychologist, researcher, professor, and the primary developer of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy.

Sue Johnson has created for the general public, a self-help version of her ground-breaking research about relationships – how to enhance them, how to repair them and how to keep them.  The book is part theory, part teaching tool and part self-help book.

Hold me tight is an easy read and nicely organized around seven types of conversations that couples can have that will enhance the bond between them.

The book is based on Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy which has been validated by over 20 years of empirical research, it is an evidence-based model of couple’s therapy that has developed alongside the science on adult attachment and bonding.

It is only natural that I would highly recommend this book as I went on to complete the training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy and it is the mainstay of my practice working with couples today.   Five stars from me 😊
